• CIEP was host for the French Government's Haut Conseil de la coopération internationale (HCCI) annual summer seminar on "Global Public Goods and Strategies for Cooperation" from 3-5 September 2001.
  HCCI's delegates had unlimited use of CIEP's facilities during the three-day event. CIEP outfitted a number of seminar rooms with computer, public address and recording equipment, provided accommodation for 60, and served 400 meals each day in addition to assisting in the organisation of the event.
  HCCI will be back from 16-18 September 2002 for the third edition of its summer seminar which will be focused on the theme of "Cooperation at the beginning of the 21th Century".

• The World Bank Institute chose CIEP as the venue for its first French-language seminar with participants from North Africa and the Middle East on the theme: "Strategic Choice for Education Reform" which took place from 4-16 February 2002.
  In addition to providing accommodation and catering for 60 participants, CIEP supplied interpreting booths, public address and computer systems. CIEP staff also prepared pre-seminar documents for the event and organised talks by speakers on the theme of CIEP's role as a programme coordinator for the European Commission's PASEC project in Cambodia.
  In part of its partnership with the World Bank, CIEP subsequently hosted two other seminars organised by the World Bank Institute, from 21 to 30 April and from 3 to 14 June 2002, for two groups of 50-60 English-speaking participants.
