Second French Congress of Psychometry - The 16th and the 17th of March 2011 , CIEP (Sèvres)

Psychometry is a research domain with numerous applications. The main purpose is to deliver a high level of reliability on the development and use of assessment tools for academic, professional and behavioural competencies. These assessment tools should be also valid, standardized, reliable with a high degree of equity and sensitivity discrimination.

The idea of this congress is due to three actors in the assessment field. Their work is partly different but they all share a common basis, namely psychometry. These actors are:

1. Educational Testing Service (ETS) France ;
2. OPP ;
3. Centre international d’études pédagogiques (CIEP).

The organization of this congress is based on a common report. In France, it is difficult today to identify and to gather psychometricians, test builders and tests users. Psychometry is likely to be the  most sophisticated scientific domain in assessment and one of the least known.

That is the reason why, ETS, OPP and CIEP offer people who are interested in this field a second opportunity to meet.
